Yesterday, I finally met François Nars at the Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself Book Signing Event at Nordstrom Michigan Avenue!

Although this was my second time meeting François (I first met him at the NARS Loves Chicago Event back in 2009), I was SO nervous I was shaking the WHOLE time! And once again, François was super nice and friendly and we chitchatted for a bit =)

Then you MUST check out makeupyourmind.com/, an interactive online community where you can showcase your personal interpretation of 12 selected looks from François’ latest book, Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself, for a free trip to NYC to join NARS backstage during New York Fashion Week!


To take part, all you have to do is upload a picture of your finished look to the website by connecting through Facebook Connect. Users can also participate by simply browsing the website and voting for their favorite “NARSissists”.

The contest will run from now till August 31, 2011 and the user with the most hearts by September 1, 2011, will win a trip for two to New York City to join NARS backstage at Fashion Week in February 2012. Ten runners-up will also receive secondary prizes which include gift sets created exclusively for the launch of Makeup Your Mind: Express Yourself.

Makeovers for the Homeless? Yup!

I for one love a good makeover. I’m not just talking makeup or hair makeovers either (though they are my faves, sorry can’t lie), but makeovers that involve the soul — changing oneself physically or mentally in order to feel better or raise one’s self confidence — you just can’t beat that.
