Celebrity Makeup News and Blogs:

Make Up For Ever Alliance Artist James Vincent served as key make up artist for the Luxe by Lisa Vogel show during Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami last weekend. The make up featured a strong eye and soft lip, a perfect match for the modern beach sophisticate inspired swimwear.

Complexion & Cheeks
The skin was sheer with a natural Miami glow. James added Make Up For Ever HD Microfinish Blush #13 in pale pink to the cheeks for the most natural looking glow.

Eyes
The smoldering eyes boast a combination of blacks, browns and metallics for a classic look that is young and modern. James first applied Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #14 (warm satin brown) to the lids, then blended Make Up For Ever Eye Shadows #17 (espresso) and #165 (dark taupe brown) with Make Up For Ever Diamond Shadow #312 (dark copper shimmer) up into the crease. He added Make Up For Ever Metal Powder #1 in sunflower gold on top for added metallic dimension. James then lined the inner rim of the eyes with Make Up For Ever Khol Pencil #1K in black for a bit of rock n’ roll glam.

Lips
The lips were subtle with no hard lines or edges. James applied Make Up For Ever Lab Shine #S6, a soft peach, for a glossy look.

Fab Finds

Celebrity Makeup News and Blogs:

Welcome to my first edition of “Fab Finds”. Fab Finds consists of items that I think are pretty fabulous. It can be people, places, things, whatever I randomly choose that is not makeup or skin care related. If you have found something to be pretty fabulous email me, I’d love to hear about it! It may make my “Fab Finds” list.

1. Adelle 21. Her latest CD is blissful listening to her smooth, seductive voice. She may be only 21, but her voice is beyond her years and a nice relief in the world of bubble gum pop from other artists her age.

2. Chelsea Baby. It seems like lately I’ve been buying several baby gifts and I love these little booties from Chelsea Baby. There are shoes for boys and girls and you can purchase additional snap-on bows for an interchangeable look. Adorable!

3. O’Shaughnessy Wine. OK, maybe I’m a little biased on this one because at my day job we did the interiors of the O’Shaughnessy Winery, but you can’t beat the exquisite taste of this award winning Cabernet Sauvignon.

4. Alex and Ani. Ever since I received one of the necklaces from Alex and Ani I have been in love with the organic, textural pieces of jewelry. Check out the bracelets – they’re size adjustable in a sophisticated way. I can’t wait to add more to my collection.

5. Dior Bagatelle Sunglasses. Ever since I saw these sunglasses on Natalie Portman in the new Miss Dior Chérie commercial I have been obsessed. I must add these retro cat-eye sunglasses to my collection.

The Look @ Luli Fama

The Look @ Luli Fama

Make Up For Ever Alliance artist, Lottie, designed a glamorous make up look for the Luli Fama show on Sunday, July 18th that was inspired by the vibrant colors in the brand’s swimwear collection. Lottie gave the models a dramatic eye with hues of coral, purple and gold that complimented the core colors in the collection.

Complexion & Cheeks: The skin was bronzed and glowing and the cheeks were highlighted with a peachy contour using Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #5.

Eyes: The eyes were the focal point of the look. Apply Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #5 to the lid and crease, blending it out to soften the color. Starting in the middle of the lid, sweep Make Up For Ever Star Powder #954 in purple upward and outward into the crease, covering the outer part of the eye lid. Next, take Star Powder #953 in orange and apply it from the inner corner of the eye upward covering the lid, stopping at where the purple begins. For added drama, Lottie applied Make Up For Ever Faux Lash #157. She then lined the upper and lower eyes using Make Up For Ever Waterproof Liner #1 in black and applied a thick coat of Make Up For Ever Aqua Smoky Lash. To complete the eyes and add a metallic accent, she applied Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #11 in gold to the inner corners of the eyes.

Lips: Lottie gave the models a shiny, nude lip using Make Up For Ever Glossy Full Couleur #10.
