Celebrity Makeup News and Blogs:

On her big day marrying Kris Humphries, the ever gorgeous Kim Kardashian donned a “clean, radiant, feminine, modern and classic” look that consisted of a brown smoky eyes, full brows, pink blush and glossy pink lips. Find out what Kim’s longtime makeup artist Mario Dedivanovic and brow expert Anastasia used to create her look!

Eyes
To play up Kim’s eyes, Mario created a smoky bronze look with Lancome Color Design 5 Pan Eyeshadow Palette in Golden Frenzy. Then he used Lancôme’s new Hypnôse Doll Lashes Mascara in So Black! along with several sets of fake lashes to play up Kim’s signature long lashes.

Brows
To make sure Kim’s eyebrows were perfect for her big day, Anastasia gave Kim’s brows a tweeze, “making sure every hair is where it should be.” On the day, Duo Brow Powder in Brunette was used all over Kim’s arches and Perfect Brow Pencil in Brunette for touch ups on areas that are naturally more sparse such as the front and ends of the brow. Anastasia then set Kim’s brows with Tinted Brow Gel in Caramel to keep them soft and pretty.

Cheeks
Mario swept on Lancome Blush Subtil in Rose Romantique to emphasize Kim’s cheekbones, creating a soft, romantic complexion.

Lips
To achieve the perfect pout, Lancome L’Absolu Nu Lipstick in Coral Sand was topped with Lancome La Laque Fever Lipgloss in Ravishing Coral.

Marisa Tomei arrives at the 2011 Oscars on Sunday, February 27th. For Marisa Tomei’s gorgeous red carpet look, makeup artist Matthew VanLeeuwen worked exclusively with Anastasia Beverly Hills product.

Matthew took the Anastasia Highlighting Crème Duo in St Tropez (image #1 below) dipped into the crème blush and applied it in gentle back and forth sweeps across Marisa’s smiling cheeks. (Pro tip: smiling makes the job mistake proof, because it helps the blush go where it’s supposed to). Using the same brush, Matthew dipped into the highlighting crème and brushed the tops of the lips and nose with the illuminating fluid. The skin was “so translucent and smooth looking!”

Turning to brows, Matthew filled and shaped Marisa’s with Anastasia Brow Wiz Pencil in Brunette (image #2) and created a few feathery strokes in the brow and to define the bottom edge of the brow. Matthew then took Anastasia Brow Duality Pencil (image #3) and placed a bit of the matte highlighter just at the arch of the brow. The total effect is ultra defined and crisp brows that perfectly frame the face.

Moving to the eyes, Matthew took Anastasia Illumin8 Eye Shadow Palette 1 (image #4) and dusted the soft pink sorbet shadow all over the eye to brighten and tone the skin. Matthew raved that “the shadow is so smoothing and imparts a modern velvety texture.” Then Matthew took Illumin8 palette 3 (image #5) and blended the mauve shade into the crease “to create the perfect shade of orchid.” Next, Matthew lined the eye with a thin line of black pencil and smudged the sparkly blue/black shadow from Illumin8 palette #3 into the lashline to create a softer, smokey eyeline.

The eye makeup was finished by curling the lashes and applying two coats of Anastasia Lash Lifting Mascara (image #6), which Matthew says “has reached cult status with many of my clients…it’s incredible.”

Finally to finish Marisa’s stunning look, Matthew applied Anastasia Hydrafull Lip Gloss in Sangria (image #7), a gorgeous soft amethyst berry shade.

Make Up For Ever @ Ed Hardy

Make Up For Ever Alliance artist, James Vincent (www.makeupforever-alliance.com), served as the key make up artist for the Ed Hardy swim show on Friday, July 16th. James created a bold black eye and strong red lip for a glamorous, old Hollywood look.

Complexion & Cheeks: The skin was bronzed and dewy with highlights on the brow bone and high cheek.

Eyes: To get a neutral base for the eye, James applied Make Up For Ever Eye Shadow #156 up to the brow bone. He then created a thick rim around the top of the eye extending to the liner beyond the outer corner of the lid using Make Up For Ever Aqua Black, and he then went on to rim the lower lash line as well. He finished by applying two coats of Make Up For Ever Aqua Smoky Lash.

Lips: For a gorgeous pop of red on the lips, James applied Make Up For Ever Aqua Cream #8.
